Carson Thomas: January 2012

Well you're 3 months old now and growing like crazy still. Going to keep this post short, sweet and to the point, and full of pictures! :)

- You are now weighing in at 15lb 5 oz.
- You are NOT happy laying down and not being able to see.
- You try very hard to pull your head up so you can sit up.
- You love to stand up (with help of course)
- You know what you want and have quiet the attitude when you don't get it. I think mom and dad are going to be in trouble :)
- Your starting to hold on to toys more.
- You love to lay under your mobile.
- You kick and play and splash a lot during bath time now.
- Normally you sleep through the night pretty well, unless your sick and not feeling well.
- You miss mommy and daddy when there at work so much in fact that when we get home you refuse to look at us, no matter what we try to do to get you to, you refuse. very rude. :)
- You still are eating 4oz but not snacking as much, now we don't seem to be feeding you alllll the time.
- You are eating cereal in your bottle at night time, it keeps you much more full and helps you be able to sleep through the night!

I feel like you are growing more and more and more and I really hate it. You are just perfect still, I'm not sure how we got so lucky!

We had family pictures done this past weekend and a few of your cute little self as well!! We will be doing more in a few weeks for 3 month pictures :)

Were at a little over two months old now and you are growing by the second it seems. I think you are honestly doing something new every day now.

A FEW new things have happened since the last blog update:

First we were supposed to travel to Des Moines to see Susan with Grammy and a few friends but you got sick that morning so mommy had to take you to the doctor. It turned out that you had an ear infection, so you were on antibiotics and me and you snuggled in bed all day. It sure made mommy feel better and you seemed to perk up a little too, although yours was probably from the medicine kicking in.

Next you had your 2 month check-up, only about a week after the other doctors visit, you had to have your first set of shots, and it was horrible! You screamed the loudest I've ever heard you cry, but it only lasted a little bit and you were back to your normal self. That night was pretty rough as well, your little legs were very sore from the 3 shots, so we had to do a little more snuggling and a little more medicine. Mommy and daddy were feeling very sorry for you, you had been in quiet a bit of pain a few too many times in a row for our liking.

Then it was already time for christmas!! We opened presents at Grammy & Grampy's before we left for our big trip for Tennessee. You got lots of clothes and toys, but your FAVORITE thing of all was the Glow Worm Grammy got you. It made you smile right away, and every time after as well!

Then we were off for your first trip to Tennessee to meet everyone! (Daddy couldn't make the trip because he just started his new job) The trip didn't take much longer than normal, you were a great traveler, you slept almost the whole trip down (13 hours) stopping to eat when we did and stretched out when we got out to get gas or food. I was very impressed!

Everyone was so excited to finally meet you and hold you! (I'm hoping that seeing you will encourage them to make a trip to see us soon!! :) Hopefully)

I didn't get pictures of everyone but there are a few!! :)

Once we got home from Tennessee we had Christmas and Nana and Papa's and you of course were the center of attention there as well! Everyone seems to have the same opinion of you, that you are just perfect of course! :) Heres a few pictures from there.

We are so lucky to have such great families both Mommy and Daddy's are just great and we really couldn't be luckier, everyone made our holidays extra special and just couldn't get enough of you especially.

Since the last post you have:

-Gained one more lb at your check up your weighed 13lb 4oz (75%)

-Were 23.5 in long (75%)

- Now you are eating 4 ounces at a time but still snacking in between bottles.

- You have slept from about 11:30- 7:30 a few times :) but usually you wake up at about 4 and then are ready for the day at about 7:30.

- You are really fighting sleep now. You get really fussy when you are tired, and need mommy to rock you to sleep ( I LOVE this, its one of my favorite times )

- You are happiest in the morning when you first wake up usually around 8:00.

- You are very chatty, you love to talk and smile.

- Your favorite things to watch are still shadows and the ceiling fan, but you love your glow worm and any other toys that light up.

- You still love to be talked to, and if you think we aren't talking to you enough you are SURE to let us know.

- When mommy or daddy walk into your line of sight you get extra happy, you have really started to do this with Daddy more and more! (He loves it)

- You are finally letting mommy snuggle with you again (which I LOVE)

- You LOVE being talked to, it really is your favorite thing!

- You like to just lay and stretch, and your sure to let us know if we've been holding you too much.

- In the past couple of days you have found your hands, you still aren't sure about them but you stare at them often!

- You are almost rolling over from back to belly, you will get on your side but I think that's because it's your favorite way to lay!

- You are growing so much everyday I feel like you are going to be walking before I know it.
